Thurmont, MD Results

It sure was a good time! Thanks to everyone who ran the match, targets and cooked the burgers! Congrats to the winners!

Thanks to Adrian for the very nice photograph of the winners in the results. I was just too tired to dig my camera out. In some fairly heavy wind conditions it was amazing to me that the lead kept changing every time a new set of results was posted, the top 4 shooters either had 22 or 23 X's but in the end well known Gunsmith Sid Goodling came out on top of the pile.

Looking at the match results on the IBS page, you'll notice that my shooting buddy Gerald "Jerry" Reisdorff, got third place. He did this shooting with a 10 pound gun, which he smithed, and a round of his own design. It's a small 30 cal that we've named the 30 JR (30 Junior). He was shooting a 112 grain BIB bullet that takes it time getting to the paper, but, it's extremely accurate. Accurate enough to deal with the winds and changes that Dick mentioned above.

Good shooting Jerry!
