Got 12" of snow here last week with about 8" still on the ground.

I am getting a real bad case of cabin fever and can't wait to get to Thunder Valley to do some long range shooting. Anyone heard anything on the schedule for this year?

First weekend of the month, starting in April I believe.

Danny:

You are one of the reasons I miss 1000 yd BR -- I love my long range prone game but I miss the people and personalities.

What I remember best about you is your two Championships while I was still shooting BR and the fact that I cannot ever remember you having a bad match. Because of the nature of the game, that can't be so, but I sure don't remember it.

I was up late working and just thought I would post.

Continued great shooting,

Jim,

I miss seeing you at the matches. I hope that the belly shootin is being good to you.

And we all have bad matches sometimes. First match of the year in'08 at Quantico, I could not get on in LG, in the second match of the day, I won the relay and the shoot off. Go figure.

Like you, I enjoy the people at the ranges as much as the shooting itself. I hated only being able to shoot NC only once last year because of the economy. This year does not look any better.
If Congress would get their heads out of their a&&3$ and fix the problem they created, it would benifit us all. But I always pray for world peace also. I wonder which will happen first.

See if you can make to a BR match this year and I will try to get to NC more than once.

Danny

Thunder Valley 2009

Shooters,

Our schedule is posted on the IBS webpage for 2009 IBS shooting season.
Very simple, we will shoot the FIRST Saturday and SUNDAY of the month starting in April - August.
Saturday will be 1000 yards and Sunday will be 600 yards. This leaves us with three other weekends for our other shooting events such as our ground hog, tactical and hunting matches which will soon be advertised on our new website once it's completed here in the near future.
Lots of new shooters this year with new rifles eager to come out and participate our longrange shooting events. Looking forward to the 2009 shooting season!

Thanks,
Tom Sarver
