Thoughts on these Chrono's????

I have one that works very nice. I did have to have one of the screens replaced years ago. It works with spacings from 2 to 8 feet. Has nice big numbers. Connects to your PC to upload data to Excel or any program capable of reading it. It also stores shot strings basically forever, for recall on the unit. So, you don't have to have your pc connected to use the functions, but iirc, that is the only way you can print the stuff out.

This past year, mine was used by my nephews to chronograph their airsoft rifles. Fully automatics, bzzzzzzzz, every shot. Pretty darn nice. (Some of those things hurt!)

There's some options, including light screens for use in darkness. I think you'd be happy with it. Not to say there are not more elaborate models out there, but this is a decent tool for the money. It also works a long time on a set of batteries. And it does not kill batteries when not in use, which is a nice feature. If it has a flaw, I think they send too much current through the phototransistors and tend to burn them up. But, that is the price you pay for having one actually see bullets. I've had mine probably 10 years now, still going strong. Never put new batteries in it that I recall.

i have not used one..but for the bucks it is probably the best in its price range..under 500....
