There's a "speedbump" in the Highway of Life

Well everything was going too smooth. I had decided that I personally would rather buy new than used. I also pretty much narrowed down what I was looking to buy. Well in the course of making phone calls and asking questions a I came upon a chance happening .... I located a rifle (sans barrel) that had everything that I wanted. I checked out the "change jar" to see where I was .... looked like we were on course. I called to say "I'll take it" .... low and behold. Another person in the organization had sold it .... Whelp ... back to the drawing board.

Like I said I want to buy "new" .... and I'm real fussy and specific as to what I want .... and I'm thinking that it's too late this season to order something that I can get in time to shoot this season ... especially since there's a sizable amount of "load development" and "getting used to it" that's needed before I sit down and get serious.

I may chaulk up this season to "pre-shooting education" ... I'm gonna head over to the "gunsmithing forums" and ask some questions over there. I'm gonna explore the possibility of buying a lathe and do some playing on my own. We'll see where that goes.

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on .... I've been hot and heavy on posts lately ... I wanted to thank everyone that answered my endless questions .....

Thanks ..... Fred

Fred,
Bruno's usually has new ones in stock and so does kelbleys a lot of times.
Tell us what you are looking for and maybe we can all work together to find what you want.

Mr Nickel
I think if you want to shoot BR then you need to shoot BR. Holding out for another season won't do you any good. IF you are ready to start having fun shooting BR then you need to start shooting.
Are you sure you aren't just making excuses not to commit?
