The trigger on my Sako Vixen will not move!

I got my Vixen out today after not using it for at least a decade. I noticed that the trigger would not move when pulled and the shell would not eject.

I cleaned the trigger with brake cleaner and sprayed it with Remoil. No change! The safety has to be moved via a small hammer. It functioned perfectly when I put it in storage. The only thing that I can think of, that some oil got into the trigger and formed something nasty. I thought that the brake cleaner would remove the corruption.

Any suggestions as to how to remedy this problem?

If your trigger is so jammed, you might try soaking it in a hot oil bath.

Use a small pan, fill it with enough cooking oil to cover the trigger.
Heat the oil to at least 200 df, don’t exceed 300 df.
Note: The cooking oil wont smoke.

Place the trigger into the hot oil and agitate it occasionally. Let it cook for a few hours.

If nothing loosens up, cook it some more.

The other alternative is to disassemble the trigger.

Break Free CLP stuck my Browning Citori ejectors in place, while in long term storage.

Applied WD-40 with a Qtip. Let soak over night. All 4 barrel ejectors came loose.
