Can anybody tell me how bad the Real Boss 1 kicked ass at Livonia last night?

?????????

I'm still a little fuzzy on these names. Is this Tony Boyer's rifle in Bills new stock? Or is Tony Boyer the Boss or is Bruce Springsteen getting into rimfire benchrest ?

Nipper

the real boss must not of tracked well i guess

bill

Nipper, I don't think tracking is the problem. In fact I bet it tracked great. I suspect something else is the problem. I could take a wild guess at it but I'm sure Bill will let us know how the boss did, just hold your horses.

Do we know what it did?

I'm sure someone does but no one will say, so I'm guessing The Boss had a bad nite. Just a guess, well and there were no grand posts this morning declaring the Boss wins big time at Saturday nite match.

Does this mean I can stop working on my new scope ring setup?

well my money is on it didnt shoot well being that its monday night and no report what so ever...

Was Rick shooting the Boss 1 rifle? I think that's what Kirk is asking about.

"Can anybody tell me how bad the Real Boss 1 kicked ass at Livonia last night? "

I was looking back at about a half dozen posts about this "Boss" rifle and all the radical advancements it is said to have, and then Bill via Beau named a few shooters, I don't think Rick was one of them, that would be driving this radical machine. So, where did the "Boss" end up?

For all the hype, surely we know what we are discussing, right? There were no posts talking about Rick winning the match prior to today. Infact, I don't think I even saw his name mentioned before in any of the "Boss" threads.

I think this is at the root of the issue: credit to the shooter or the gun. Looking back at all the "Boss" posts, looks pretty clear to me that the expectation is on the rifle, not the shooter in those posts.

If it was on the shooter, then wouldn't the posts be titled with something related about Rick at the match, or even a "Calfee customer?" But then we are right back to the smith's name and not the shooter.

Now the next questions:

1. How many Calfee rifles at the match?
2. How many total rifles at the match?

Does anyone have this info?

Didn't Rick Shouse win at Livonia with a Calfee Rifle?
Waterboy

From what I understand he lit it up at Livonia. I don't know what the agg. was but apparently it was impressive. I wasn't there so I can't say what he was shooting but he usually shoots a Calfee rifle. I don't think the BOSS did as bad as a lot of people think (hope?) but it didn't win. I understand there were a couple of fairly impressive targets produced by the BOSS. Doesn't matter what you shoot, I would like to see the guy that can win every single time out in today's competition. A few years ago, it was possible for one person to dominate. I don't think it's going to happen often anymore.

As I've often heard, you shoot and count it up at the end of the season.

Well, they do George. For $12 you can get a monthly magazine that comes every three or four months that has all the match results.

Wonder what happened to the ARA website that was supposed to be up and running by now.

no matter , if its goes into production i can assure you i wont own one

THAT suck's x12......members have any say at any time ?...vote's that type thing

I think match directors vote on something at the nationals. Not sure what that encompasses. I think it would be difficult to put all the match results on this site. Ideal thing would probably be to have a site just for that and use the scoring program to upload. It would work as long as the results were called unofficial until confirmation. Of course, that still doesn't make it easy.

George, aren't you a ARA match director? If you are you will get a newsletter. Match Directors turn in rule changes at the Nationals and they are voted on at the end of the year. If you are not a match director send me your address and I will see that you get a newsletter. All this info is in the ARA logo on the home page, its not top secret info.

Just a guess but I would say most of the rifles were Calfee rifles but probably not all. I don't think Rick or a Calfee customer shot the BOSS.

Scoring Program

From what I understand, getting all the MD's to use the Scoring Program approved by ARA is the biggest cause of the delay. There are other reasons as well, but they are none of our business. If you want everyone to see your clubs results on the web, do like I did, and start your own club web site and post them.

Fred,

I think the problem is not making them visible but actually getting them posted. You can post them here, some match directors choose not to.
