The loss of a real shooter friend and sportsman

Last evening around 10:00 Larry Burchfield of the Texarkana gun club passed away after a short illness.

Larry was the kind of shooter that gave everything to this sport. Gave you his best iron to shoot against him when you left yours home and then congratulated you when you beat him with it. Fierce competitor and best friend.........anything I might wish to say about this man would be inadiquate.

We all and the sport are diminished by this loss.

Frank,

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your good friend and a friend to our sport. May he enjoy the other side with his maker even more than this life on earth. Blessings on his transition to a better place.

Frank,

Nothing I can add. Larry was a dear friend and will be missed. He truly is in a better place.

Frank,
Thank you for the information about Larry. If you can post a link to his obituary would be helpful. I have known Larry since 2005. Have never met him. We did always compair our scores in both Rimfire and AGBR. When Ron Lewis started AGBR we both jumped on the band wagon into AGBR. He will be missed by many.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Sad news indeed. I only knew Larry thru emails and internet posts, but its always a blow when a longtime shooting bud goes upstairs. May God bless and keep him, and may He give comfort to his family.

I'm saddened to hear that Frank. I corresponded some with Larry and he was a real nice guy, he will be missed.

My condolences to his family.

It is obvious that Larry was known by many of us from around the country even though we may have never met face-to-face. He and I also shared many emails and he always seemed to be a true gentleman with a good head on his shoulders. He will be missed.
