The first group match of 2016 at BRRC is right around the corner on February 27-28th. We have had a mild winter so far, and I'm pretty sure that ground hod didn't see his shadow so hopefully that will hold out.
This match is our annual Memorial Match. This year we honor one of our close friends Chuck Hearn who left the range last year. It is an LV/HV 100/200 yard match. We will start the match on Saturday the 27th at 10:00 am. We start this one a little early so that we don't run out of daylight! I will be at the range starting at 10:00 am on Friday the 26th for anyone that wants to come and practice a little. I am working on a fun match for Friday afternoon depending on planned attendance.
We switched things up a little this year. This will be your first opportunity to win some of the new BRRC group medals instead of plaques. I attached a couple of pictures to see what you are shooting for! Medals will be given for everything except the LV and HV Grand Agg winners along with the 2-Gun winner. Those folks will win beautiful picture plaques with a picture of Chuck on them.
We will be cooking again this year. For the small fee we will be providing lunch both days, donuts in the morning, and of course BACON WRAPPED FILLETS and baked potatoes on Saturday night. Also again this year we will be rewarding shooters that bring in new shooters, or ones that have been MIA. Anyone that brings a new shooter, or someone that has not attended a group match in the last three years will shoot for half price along with the new shooter.
