The " Crown "

Hi all, what would be the difference in the crown of a barrel if one is coned or one has the ressesed cut in it. On my Obermeyer 40X brl.,the crown is recessed. On a Shilen select match brl. that I just recieved, it has a coned shape to it. I really cannot see if it would matter, but can someone tell me if it does?

The shape of the crown doesn't really matter much.
What is important is that it is sharp crisp and clean with no nicks, dings or burrs.
