no matter how much we spend, no matter what breed of rifle, be it a 10/22 ...
a full blown Priceless Calfee or rail gun.
after all the variables have been figured, all the latest acessories bought, rest, flags,
weather equipment, levels , tuners ect.ect.
after we do all things possible in the quest for ONE HOLE, we rimfire shooters are simply left at the mercy of AMMO makers !!!!
why do we do this thing knowing the TRUTH.

i don't know, but it looks like i'm getting ready to do it all again...
maybe the fun ain't in the gun, but in the competition and fellowship/friendships we share;)
 
Does it really matter that they won’t all go in the same hole??
On any given day, all you need to do is beat the other guy.
But for those who need perfection, go and shoot laser guns and be bored because there is nothing to complain about.

I think the correct term would be fire formed brass.
Just starting to think how much fun it would be to neck (body??) turn them.

Earl shoots or use to shoot ARG Group shooting, thus the one hole concept. Earl with the ammo that's being produced today I wouldn't think you'd hsve trouble finding quite a bit that will produce one hole groups. It's most time, the nut behind the trigger not doing there part and reading the condition.
 
in my infinite wisdumb, i thought the 17 hm2 would toll the death nell for
22 lr. but then i also said
" Obama..never ! "
among other dumb things:(

i've shot ARG at cern's and ARA at Wright City mo. an lotsa lotsa indoor money shoots.. and i still say "the south will rise again":)

We can't even come close to doing this!

Maybe they build ammo that can only be as good as the gun it's used in. Maybe their ammo is perfect - it's not their fault if you can't build a perfect gun to shoot it in.
 
It just gives me a reason to keep on keeping on.

Another day, another rifle.
