Unaka Rod & Gun held the final 2 days of the Southeast Regional centerfire/group championship for 2014. The 100 yard, 2-day, segment was held 2 weeks ago at Brocks Gap Alabama. This 2-day match was the 200 yard 4-gun segment.

The weather was great for the entire weekend except the usual Unaka rainstorm, this one during flag setting, and one can get really wet setting 200 yards of windflags in the rain!

Once again the Unaka crew from Crystal Honeycutt as Range-master to the target crew was perfect and we all thank them very much. (Unaka even goes to the additional step of hiring a professional scoring crew, consisting of Gordon Earp's team, who provide quality scoring and posting services in the Southeast.)

And thanks Matthew Keller, event organizer, Sean Ewing, Dalton Jones and all the rest of the professionals who could write a book on how to run successful benchrest marches. BTW, Matthew was working the night-shift this weekend but was still at the range by 7 AM with fresh Crispy Crème Donuts.

Oh, congrats to all the winners who I hope Steve Lee will post in detail.

I would like to give Mathew, Sean, and all their friends a big "Thumbs Up" for this past weekend. Great to see a nice bunch of young people step up and put on the flawless match we had! Crystal, any range would be lucky to have you as their range officer. Great job by all! Mathew, Paw Paw IS proud!!

echo!

I echo / repeat what Jerry and Mark said! My first trip to Unaka and except for the trip up it was outstanding! This comment is for the way shoot was run - not my Shooting! Sorry Steve Lee had to leave hope Ann is doing better. Congrads to all winners and placer's. Some new blood seem to be coming on strong which is a good sign and some of the old blood, billy, bart, and Jim Car. lead the way. jim c.

I was unable to attend this year at the 200 at Unaka my biggest regret besides not shooting with my friends is not hearing Mathew sing.
