The PA 1000 Yard club would like to thank all that attended one of the largest World Opens ever. We had 154 shooters in Light Gun Class and we had 147 in Heavy Gun Class.

A thank you to all the vendors that showed up this year. This was the largest turn out of vendors i have seen at the World Open.

Thanks to all our sponsors. We had enough prizes to pay back 18 places in each class.

Thanks to Jeff Mertz of Mertz meats for some great barbeque food. And the Smith family for all the fixing, This was a great FREE meal for all the shooters!

Bbq

Absolutely correct Eric. The BBQ was outstanding. Will have to get with you on that other supplier of ice cream you mentioned, but Penn State set the bar awfully high! Going to see if I can find a source for dry ice here locally and get a tub to take to Iowa if room allows in the truck. Because like Matt told me way back in '05, "ice cream makes everything better". :D

Thanks Eric and all the PA Bunch for another well run match! You can count on the NC crew back again next year! Anyone that wants to compete with some of the best long range shooters in the country need to make plans for next year's World Open.
