I just wanted to take a moment and thank Nat Lambeth for the selfless act he performed in loading ammo for me before my Blackwater pistol class. He took the time to load 2000 rounds of .45 ACP for me, even though he had never met me, and even though he knew who my dad is (ha ha). Not only would he not let me pay him for his time, he took 3 additional hrs out of his Saturday to let me shoot a few rounds first, shoot the breeze next, and then take my son and me to lunch.
I shot over 1000 rds. during my class, in weather that ranged from overcast and cool, to drizzle, to light snow, wind and finally rain again on the last afternoon. All shooting was outside. I never once was unable to put a shot downrange because of one of the rounds that Mr. Lambeth loaded. (I wish I could say the same of my own performance.)
Although I'm not part of the benchrest community, I can see why my dad enjoys his time interacting with the other members. If all are anything like my dad and Mr. Lambeth, then it is a fine bunch indeed.
Mr. Lambeth, thank you again for the help.
