I want to publicly thank Doug Weeter for the time that he spent with me on his scoring program and my Mac computer.

I could not get Doug's program to open on my Mac after I downloaded it. Windows just would not open. Doug worked with me and even contacted a Mac tech until he understood what the problem was. He sent me a simple spread sheet for us to insert the shooter's names and scores that works flawlessly for my mac, as well as, his PC. This spread sheet has all the clubs and shooters for 50/50 included. I just fill it out and send it to Wilbur and Wilbur relays it to Doug.

Doug emphasized to me the importance of getting the correct name of the club, the type of match, the date, and all the names spelled exactly the same way from one shoot to another. (That is the reason for getting the names from the pull down window.)

Can you imagine the time someone would have to spend getting all the scores from all the clubs posted if there was not a computerized system to quickly correlate and post them? It is a big job for a responsible person.

Thanks for your help, Doug.

Bill Wynne and Doug Weeter,
This is a great post for me. I might be the only one other than that but let me explain first. I have owned 5 Macs at home (desktops) that I know nearly inside and out (except for the newest one) and I BOUGHT a pc laptop to use to only run matches. It is a giant leep to go backwards in user-friendliness (my personal thought). But I've struggled to use the pc, Windows based (Vista, can I get microsoft to send me the correction with just an e-mail? HA! HA!) OS and just get the job done. I bought the machine to do only match reports at the range. I never intended it to get on-line (that is another whole issue related to the getting on-line thing). I wish when I bought it that I would have had enough money to get the Mac I-book or whatever was available then to do this so I could easily e-mail the results to the ARA. Doug, you are a good man for doing all of this work for all the organizations. You are even better for helping another match director get through his problems. I really understand your struggles to do this. I am glad that you are here to help people. It isn't easy being a match director without these computer problems and you've been instrumental lately in help. I thank you!
