If you were paying attention I wanted to thank Wilbur for his hard work and dedication to the BR shooting community. This web site caters to a small corner of the shooting community. Over the years Wilbur has expanded the forum to include other areas of shooting interest. This has been good. in several areas: one, because the BR community is shrinking mainly due to age, cost and commitment required. two, others with different shooting interest may find BR shooting and take the plunge.
Sadly but the internet open forums mixes the BS with the BR. This may hurt the quality of the site but comes along with the freedom we have to express ourselves. The old school BR Central came across to the newbe shooter as a bunch arrogant snobs. The members policed the post and selected who could stay and who must go. It took thick skin to survive the criticism and ridicule passed out at BR Central.
This forum behavior taking the competition to the web site has worked has a double edged sword.
Again I think Wilbur has done an admirable job with BR Central it is still one of the best shooting forums out there.
