SEYMOUR,TEXAS STOOL SHOOTERS(Some Pictures)
Seymour,Tx population approximately 3,000,located about 130 miles Northwest of Fort Worth,Texas. If you look hard enough,you can find it on the Texas Map. I’m sure some of you have spent your Summer vacation in Seymour,Tx.
Those of us that didn’t go to the Super Shoot,gathered at Seymour,Tx this past weekend for the second leg of the Texas State Championships. UL and Heavy Varmint.
We had a tail wind all weekend long. It blew hard, and every which a way. 15 to 35mph with 40mph gusts. I heard a lot of “Where TF did that come from.” Many thanks go out to The host organizers,Trae and Tammi Reed, assisted by GC Regional Director,Scott Hunter and Target Crew, for putting on a glitch free match. The highlight of the weekend was the delicious Mexican food at “Blessings” restaurant and the Steak Dinner at the “Ranger Creek Hunting Lodge”. Top shelf hospitality is a major attraction in this little West Texas Community.

A scent of victory on the wind
One thing That you may not know, but can see in their pictures, is that Larry and Mike rescued their wrist bags from a port a potty last year and are now happily using them. They claim that the "aura" of these bags distracts their competitors and gives them an edge. Mike's wrist bag has more "aura" then Larry's. That is why he wins almost everything he attends. Larry has confided to me that he plans to remedy this. He did not say how. Tim

Butch, I sat to the right of Mike Conry and I might add that the "Honey Hole" he was in ended at the edge of his bench!
He truly had a handle on things (For the 4th year in a row).
Glenn, It was an honor, once again shooting with you and many thanks for posting the pictures.
Seymour is a shoot I look forward to every year, good friends, good food and a well ran match.

I really miss the Seymour matches. They are one of the highlights of the BR matches. Haven't seen you in a few years. It is good to hear you are competing again. Bench 1 has to be a honey hole. I measured the height of the 3rd strand of barb wire. It coincides with the rifle barrel. It must knock the wind off the bullet. I like bench 20-25 as it puts me closer to the reloading barn.
