We only had 3 shooter to come out on this lovely evening and shoot but we enjoyed ourselves. My son won the match (his very first air rifle match so I'm kinda proud.
Brad Burchfield= 234-1x/245-4x/247-4x = 726-9x / USFT/177/JSB
Larry Burchfield= 234/242-2x/247-2x = 723-4x / USFT/177/JSB
Johnnie Gentry= 234-1x/236-2x/240 = 710-3x / USFT/177/JSB

We will shoot again on May 23, 2009 @ 6:00pm

Thanks for posting your match results. Were all three using the same USFT?
Great shooting by everyone! Hope Brad shoots a 250 soon. Would love to see a picture of your USFT.
A local shooter has his USFT hunter shooting pretty good with a Hockey puck rear rest!

My son and I were using the same rifle but Johnnie had his own. There is also another shooter in our club that has a USFT. I purchased mine from another club member that decided to get out of shooting for a while because of health reasons. Mine is a Mac-1 Hunter #6.
Needless to say I'm proud of my son and I was glad he drove his own car to the match so I didn't have to listen to all that BS.
I'll post these scores at the website but I forgot to take any pictures. Senior moment I guess cause I forgot my camera and I never think of the one that is in my phone.
Sometimes you have to use what you got at hand aka hockey pucks. We don't have very many of those things laying around in this part of the country. I also like the photo of the shooter using the scissor jack for a front rest. Thats very thoughful.

weather conditions

You couldn't have asked for better conditions after the first target. Our range faces west so a 6:00 pm the sun was in our eyes but as the sun set the better the conditions got for the other two targets. We shot all of our targets and didn't even have to turn on the light to light up the targets.
I think that I like to shoot air rifle benchrest better that I do 22 ARA benchrest. If we can only get more folks in our club interested in shooting air rifle will help me like it more.
