I had been half expecting rain, and got up extra early to organize my garage enough that we could shoot from inside if needed, but the sky cleared, and the conditions improved so we shot down below on the open range.

It SEEMED we might shoot pretty well, as winds weren't strong, but we DID have an unusually and dastardly tailwind condition that would quickly spin round somehow to become headwind! This situation was (of course) coupled with our normal north, then southwest breezes to give em from all quarters! Nothing hard mind you, but vexing. Ohh, an them winds was COLD! I could see my breath an my hands were gettin numb by the second relay!

We had a new shooter that TimmyMac brought along, Jose Nunez, shooting his brandy-new USFT, and he did real well for hisself! The seven other guys did ok too, plus Roger shot two classes to make eight entries. We had two classes, Open and the sub-20 fpe class, and used the "World BR target" at 25 meters.

Matt Saenz shot some blistering open class scores (check out that X count!), but failed to shoot at one bull, losing ten points, or he could have done even better!

Results, Open class:

Name trgt1 trgt2 trgt3 agg

Matt Saenz 243/10 246/13 231/6 710/29

Jose Nunez 244/9 225/1 227/7 696/17

Roger Lovett 234/1 219/2 233/4 686/7
------------

Results: HV (sub-20fpe) Class:

Tim McMurray 241/6 242/9 230/4 713/19

Larry Durham 237/4 235/4 238/6 710/14

Roger Lovett 240/5 229/3 233/6 702/14

Matt Kellerman 238/5 239/9 224/4 701/18

Rich Woods 228/1 226/2 224/2 678/5

Tim Donaldson 215/3 210/2 207/1 632/6

As usual, we had a nice potluck lunch afterward, and spent some time jawin about shooting. Rich Woods brought some of those fantastic Tamales he get local, and my wife had made up some potato salad an fixins for burgers we grilled, so we all ended up with full bellies.

By the time we had done eating, it was warm and sunny ... would have been nice to shoot about then, but we wuz too full.
