Team Albee (Brian and Helen Albee) swept the Isabella County Sportsman's Club 100 yard score and 200 yard group matches on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Working in unison and having the nerves of steel, they combined to take home the gold for both matches. To watch them work together is miraculous to say the least. Congratulations Brian and Helen! You are truly what makes the stuff for a wholesome marriage!
Now onto who took the second place slots......
Jim Millitello shooting his trusty HV gun in 6PPC out X'd Jim Dyke to take the Silver slot in the 100 yard score event. And, taking home the sandbagger trophy was none other than Alex Murray with his fine 248-9X!
Well, if one win wasn't enough, Team Albee decided to make it a match win in the 200 yard group event also! Brian and Helen worked together and maintained a steady performance to outlast Joe Hynes (who pulled in with his camper from a loooooooooooong road trip of shooting at the big matches). Team Albee captured the Gold medal (real gold of course) by outdistancing Joe 0.3056" to 0.3319". Mr. Hynes graciously accepted the Silver Medal (real of course). And the sandbagger trophy was nailed down by the GREAT Al Waleski with his fine 0.5065". Conditions during the 200 yard event were horrible at best but there were a few fine groups shot.
Dudley Pierce and Jim Dyke were showing off their new Graham Flags and were actually very impressive! Jim had the flat top flags with balls and Dudley had the same with daisy wheels. We all noticed how sensitive the ball type flags were. The Graham flags are very well made and engineered.
The competitors want to give special thank you's to Steve Robbins, Harry Ross, and Freddy Ross for their time and assistance in running the matches. Freddy is the pit detail manager, driver, and target crew all rolled into one. Harry manages the money and Steve is always offering assistance to those in need. And to the Isabella County Sportsman's Club for providing the use of the wonderful benchrest rifle range! We thank you all graciously!

There will be a match coming up in August according to Steve Robbins. Details will be posted later so stand by.
