Tax free firearms in SC

One of the best ideas I have seen.
You must not have seen very many "ideas" then! What's the purpose of this? So a few buyers will rush out and buy a gun for a few per cent less during a 48 hour period? Or is it to promote the sale of a few handguns? Maybe it's to reduce tax revenues for the state by a minuscule amount (yeh I'm sure the state likes that!) Maybe it's to promote the 2nd amendment (government want's to do that?) I don't get it - maybe it's just a "feel good" law for a few gun buyers. Who is this "a good idea" for? The buyer? The seller? The government? Maybe it's to help the criminal get cheaper guns on a particular Saturday! Looks like a "law" some loony politician dreamed up when he had nothing else to do.
 
Man, oh man pacecil, take it easy on poor ol' Gary. No offence, because I don't even know you, but Gary has been around guns for an awfully long time, and my guess is that he has probably forgotten more about guns than you ever knew. Have you ever met the man, or should I say "The Bear in the Chair"? He's definitely one of the good guys, that's for sure.

By the way, "hi" Gary, and thanks for letting everyone in on this.

I'm pleased to say the NH has this as well, EVERYDAY! No general sales tax in NH. Don't move here, it's too crowded. Dave: you need to change your location. Massachusetts now extends above Concord and into the western Lakes Region!:D My best to all for the holiday season, Guy

Hi Gary, I hope you're well. Pacecil must have too much starch in his skivies. The TAX HOLIDAY is a great idea. By the way, a rumor has it that a helicopter door was found in the Atlantic off the southern US. I wonder what type airship it fits. Best to you. Glynn

Well it's really nice to see your back in the game and there some %^%$#@ out there that will get you to respond. I know you've been through hell in the last 2 years but sure am glad you're still shooting. I plan to shoot Georgia next year again and I sure hope to see your smiley face again. It's too bad that some shooters on this board don't know what you've done to promote the sport and help other shooters. I echo the the sentiments of Ken Henderson. I would ask that one of you guys up there let us know the schedule for 2009. If you're shooting in January, Ken and Sheri have provided me with the appropriate Arctic attire. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
