Yes we have had over 100,000 readers in 8 months, wow doesn’t time fly! We want to say a big thank you for making this one of the most read magazines on the net.

And don't forget its a free magazine! www.targetshooter.co.uk

We have made some big changes to how you view the magazine with new software and have invested in some great hardware to make your viewing and downloading even better and faster.

For MAC users we have introduced a PDF download just for you as we know that some MAC users have had problems in the past.

Being Christmas we have a fantastic section of Gifts and Gadgets that our advertisers have put together for you to add to that Christmas wish list of yours.

Don’t forget if you see an advert you interested in then click on it and you will be taken direct to the advertisers website for more great deals!
This month is a bumper issue and you will find all your favourites and a lot more covering all there is about Target Shooting.

We have had loads of letters from our readers during November telling us how much they love what we are doing and to keep on doing it. Well don’t worry we will but don’t forget if you have a question or idea for our writers then drop us a line.

Note: In the virtual magazine we have turned off the download for the time being if you wish to download the magazine as a PDF file click on the download for MAC users.

Happy Christmas from all at Target Shooter Magazine

I could not get it to blow up so I could read it. Probably something to do with IE on my machine.

Don all you have to do is click in the page or there is a zoom button in the bottom left corner to expand it.

Andy,
I just went through the latest issue and once again you've done a fine job. This issue was an enjoyable read. The on-line format can be a bit tricky in waiting for the page to enlarge sharpen. I would imagine on a slow connection there would be a significant frustration level to overcome.

Thanks for your efforts. Keep 'em coming.

Best,
Michael

Hi Michael,

what speed is your internet? we did have nearly 2,000 readers last night which may have slowed it up a bit but all seems to running fine.

many thanks, AndyD

Andy,
Sorry, I wasn't complaining. I have a broadband connection and the speed of the magazine is just fine. There was a 4 -5 second delay when enlarging the page and the sharpening software took effect. I suspect that this is a network phenomena and performance will vary throughout the day.

My day job is web-based production and usability is a professional concern.
I was just thinking out loud about how users that do not have access to the higher speeds of DSL, cable, T1, or the instant display of fiber networks, might experience frustration with the new the digital media.

Even with broadband access, there is a cultural adjustment as we change from print to digital media; reading from a flat screen, clicking a mouse button to turn pages, enlarging and scrolling.

Gosh Andy, I'm old enough to remember hooking the telephone into a MODEM at 300 baud and staring in amazement that the green type slowly appearing on the black screen was coming from another part of the world.

The main emphasis of my post was to offer you sincere congratulations on producing a professionally designed publication that is immediately available to a world-wide audience.

Best,
Michael

Hya Michael,
Many thanks for the kind word especially from someone that works in the kind of industry that you are in, it feels like we are doing not just something positive but also something that people are saying looks and feels professional.
There are three of us that set this up and got the writers onboard with us and then the advertisers and it has been a hard slog for the past 9 months working all the waking hours to get it to where we are now.
We always said that this magazine would be free to read as the shooters are part of the magazine and they will hopefully spend their hard earned money on the products from our advertisers who are actually helping to pay the writers, software and other things that comes with something like this. We are not in it for the money as all that are involved are shooters, as you will see with my article this month I am a disabled shooter.
We are doing this to keep Target Shooting alive and well as all countries around the world are struggling to keep governments from taking it away from us or make it harder to get goods. And the advertisers need something like our magazine to get the right products to the right shooters and that was something lacking in the UK especially, not sure what it is like else were as that would be interesting to know.

But was again Michael thank you for you kind word and if you want to write a email with your thoughts on the magazine maybe you could send it to customer.services@targetshooter.co.uk
Thanks Mate.
