target ammo selection

I have a question on selection of quality ammo. I have recently acquired a W52b and have little target grade ammo local to try. If I get several boxes of quality ammo will I find in addition to some lots being much better some brands also? By this I mean if I get say 3 boxes of brand "A" and 3 of "B" and 3"C' if one brand seems to be better will I be able to just continure to try getting various lots of that brand, like will a rifle maybe prefer one over another? Everytime I run out of my stash will I have to start ALL over again or would it be a good bet to just try several lots of the one brand I originally start with? Mostly my 22's are Squirrel guns.

Just using logic and what I know about folks preference of ammo I can offer a somewhat bland answer. Folks gravitate to "brands". One guy may shoot Eley exclusively while another shoots Lapua. We can assume that they "gravitated" to those brands because their rifle made the choice. A further assumption could be made that the rifle preferred one brand over the other spanning more than one lot. From those assumptions one could loosely conclude that rifles in general prefer a specific brand of ammo from one to the other.

So, yes, if you find your rifle likes a particular brand better in a single test, then the odds are with you to continue with the same brand.
