T32 powder

I have some T32 powder that I purchased awhile back from a BR shooter that retired from shooting. But I didn't get any load data from him. I will be shooting it in my 6PPC, .262 neck with 68 gr match HP's. Where should I start with loading for this combination? Have been shooting H322 and N133 but don't know how/where this compares with them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Benchrest Central

The best place to start would be to post this same question on the centerfire forum. The best source that I can think of for that information in long range would be Dave Tooley @ Tooleys Custom Rifles, he shoots short range too.

Reading match reports from the '80's it looks like the most popular loads for T was in the 27-27.5 grain range. You will find this a bit slow after shooting V133 in the speed range it likes best but I think you will find probably better overall accuracy with the T32 in the 3200-3250 fps range.

At that velocity you might be surprised to find better aggs with the T, even in the wind, than V133, in the wind, at 3375-3450.

I thought I was nice to him.I even offered to help him with his load developement. I sure hope he didnt take that like you did,Im wanting some that T32. Dave's doing real good.Still having a little trouble with that right eye(he dont need it anyway,he shoots left handed).I here he's going in for some corrective surgery on it so maybe we'll see him on the range some time this year. That was a tough operation he went through . I'll tell him you asked.

Dave

Im glad to hear he's doing ok, How bout you and that new 243 Cutright round? BJ and Charley said it seemed to be shooting good for you.

243 Cutright

It has done well for eneryone who's shot it. I have shot 2" aggs several times @ 600yrds in some tough conditions & won a lot of trophies @ 1000yrds too.(heavygun overall 2007 IBS 1000yrd Nats.,Mo. 600&1000 yrd heavygun champ in 07 & 08, S.Dakota 600yrd heavygun champ 2007 & last I heard its still hangin on to a range record I shot in Mn. in 2007 w/117 dtac bullets.) Brad Adams had a rifle built in 243 Cutright last year & has brought home a trophy every time he's shot since then,so something has got to be right about it.:D Wanna try long range?
