SW Houston Info???

I have friends staying with us that are Houston evacuees. Is anyone near Santa Fe, Texas, (South of Houston 15 miles) and can give an update on damage, power, or maybe do a drive by to survery damage? They are trying to figure out if they need to head back and start repairs or just wait to power is back on.

Robert Whitewood is OK as he left town, said one of his houses is OK. Couldn't get in touch with Bob Estes. Jay Lynn said Jackie called and his shop took on a little water, but was OK and I believe a tree fell on it. That is all that I found out.

TV report

1. Santa Fe schools closed all next week. No mention of damage.

2. Bayou Vista reports minimal damage. It's between Santa Fe and I45.

Tiki Island, still closer to Galveston, shows considerable damage.

Some help, I hope.

Report re: Bayou Vista----Crap shoot....some total loss, some virtually untouched. TV reports are expanding coverage, and reports are more sobering each time.

Still, no specific info on Santa Fe, other than 1 week school closing, that I've seen.
