Svenson sight

I won a micrometer sight that was identified as an "original Svenson rearsight" with a mounting block on fleabay.

Anyone know anything about these babies? Can't find out much about these, except that they are described by some as the predecessor to the RPA sight.

I think George Svenson was one of the founders of RPA Precision Rifles.

Sounds like a reasonable enough deduction.

George Swenson & Laurie Ingram collaborated on the Swing rifle action, that name being derived from their surnames, & later on a refinement called the Paramount. They were the antecedents of the RPA actions, but as a legal case or two was run regarding ownership of the design, I won't go there. Unfortunately, both have passed on & the history of the rifle that was on Laurie's web site has been deleted.

You can probably find something on the RPA web site, though maube not about the sight.
