Suppresors increase accuracy?

Ive read and been told by a friend that suppressors actually increase the accuracy of a firearm. supposedly its because when the gases exit the barrel behind the bullet they are still pushing on the back of the bullet when it doesn't have the barrel around it thus causing it to pitch or yaw slightly. what do you guys think?

by the way Ive also heard that they reduce range and accuracy.

I have several moderators of differing manufacturer. Yes they are supposed to make the rifle more accurate by stabilising the bullet by stabilsing/buffering the gases. I cant comment on this point as have never experimented all know enough about external ballsistics. That said I do believe they make a rifle more accurate because of:
reducing flip
reducing recoil
I have them on a 204, 7-08 and a 300 win mag, the benefits are very good on the latter.
The negatives are muzzle heavy rifles, added length and weight. I have short barrels on my moderated rfiels for those reasons. Also it is one more thing to go wrong, I have had several stop shooting and from new a mod may screw with ya harmonics and stop it shooting.
