Super Shoot HV Class

I have a HV rifle 13.44 lb that will kick tail on most Sporter/LV rifles in HV class. My best was a .2164 agg at Phoenix 10 years ago, second to Ocock's .2142. I shot two .1's back to back at Phoenix same gun a couple years later, a .158 and a .175 third place in the 200. Mine is one of the special HV gun that win over a 10 1/2 lb Sporter.

My HV has 2 prime barrels a Hart and a Shilen both 23 inch. The action was part of a deal when I bought my Rail. The action is a McMillan sleeved Rem 600 Davidson bolt Lee Six gel coat SPG stock jewell trigger. The action was balanced and blueprinted by Ferris Pindell, the action is as good as any Custom today, fact not fiction. Another fact Remington action BR guns have probably put more shooters in the Hall of Fame than any other one single action, check it out.

I have a Krieger 22 barrel 1-15 twist I have salted away for 2 years that will go on this HV this year. The chamber will be a .243 nk standard PPC, expect to win with it. Scope is a early Leupold 36x standard crosshair. I make the 22 bullets on Rorschach dies.

HV class allows a 13.5 lb gun. The Super Shoot is called 10 1/2 lb gun and 13 1/2 lb gun. Shooting a HV is pleasant and allows good concentration on each shot. Back when I started in the 1970's most shooters shot a HV. I feel the HV allows a shooter to develop great bench technique that can transfered to their LV/Sporter. Less concussion each shot and a better balanced gun are selling pts for the HV. The majority of the BR shooters are one bag gun shooters, that being with the Sporter that allows a shooter to compete in all 4 classes. HV is a special gun that can hold it's own in it's own class and be a substitute for Unlimited especially 5 shot. Watch the Super Shoot equipment lists and see how many the true HV guns do well this year.
