well i know someone will ask, so i'll start the thread.....
it would be nice to see who shot something other than a 6ppc .
so someone post away....

I know of only three 30BR's, but there could have been more. I didn't see where the others finished, but mine had a top 20 in the HV100 and in the HV grand. I really didn't shoot very well, so I'm satisfied with the results. I saw a few targets with 22 holes, but I have no idea what cartridge or who shot them.

I would like to discuss some details about 30 caliber accuracy with you sometime. Would I be able to give you a call on of these days?

I'm pretty confident that I'm probably using pretty much the same gear as at least one top-20 shooter...

Mike, I shot my new 6-40 Tyger. It is a 6PPC with a 40 degree shoulder at the old PPC body/shoulder intersection. From 2001 till this year I've shot the 6-40 Dune, a 40 degree shouldered PPC with the shoulder at the old PPC neck.shoulder intersection plus 0.035".

The 6-40 Dune holds 2.5 grains more water than a normal PPC. I also shoot it at the 600 yard matches. A 90 grain BT Berger at about 3200 with Varget. The Dune will push a 67g AA to 3500 easily with 8208.

The Tyger holds about 0.7 grains water less than a PPC. It has a long neck and zero freebore. I shot it with Alliant 10X at about 3360 fps. This cartridge shot very well but the driver let it down (like holding into a letup--twice).... and my eyesight being worse than usual during the shoot. This cartridge also shoots well with AA 2230.
