One of our new shooters bought a Suhl a month ago. He brought the rifle to me a couple of days ago asking for help with getting the bolt back in the receiver.
The firing pin was down in the fire position and I explained to him that he needed to turn the bolt up and set the firing pin in the cock position.
But: He also told me that he had turned the cap on the back of the bolt to the left: And it came off.
Now: Seems I recall that Bill Calfee had written about dissembling the firing pin and it was important the "get things lined up" when reassembling. Was he referring to taking that cap off the back of the bolt, or was it driving a pin out to release the firing pin tension?
