stock/stocker?

I have been seeing in a few equipment lists when asked for "stocker", guys have been putting the brand of stock they have. I always thought it was supposed to be who bedded the rifle that went in this spot. Or are they both right?

Stocker is the person who installed the stock. Some of the equipment list forms have a place for stock and also for stocker. In that case, the maker of the stock goes in the stock column and the person who installed the stock goes in the stocker column. Anymore a lot of times the maker of the stock and the stocker are the same especially with all the wood/carbon fiber stocks being made now days.

I had been putting the name of the stock ie Leonard, or Borden.. I felt this was more important than the fact that I did the "glue-in" myself.

On my borden/panda stock it came ready to glue in.

The Leonard stocks were very close to ready to glue, only requiring minor attention.

thats what i did anyhow....
