stock spider web effect

just wondering does anyone know how to do the spiderweb effect that they have on some factory stocks. iv been doing quite a bit of stock mods and paint but i have not figured out how to do it any help would be appreciated. only really want to know for my own paint jobs

Stockings . .

The answer to your question may be Womens Mesh Stockings . . I have a friend that does some painting of stocks and barrels and that's what he's using. He also uses the Plastic Web that they send barrels in and paints over them, neat effect when it is done. He will paint the barrel black, or dark brown then put the stocking or web over it and finish the design, made one look like a Diamond back rattler . . wow !! Another thing that I have seen done is they will leave the web on the polished barrel and sand blast through it, that is a neat effect on the barrel.
 
If you will go to your local hobby store, they have spray cans of webbing spray. Mostly in gold, silver, etc. But may have them in other colors. I used one in gold. Works pretty good. Not great but decent.
