I have a new McMillian edge stock and would like to polish it so it looks better and maybe rides the rest better. What is the best way to polish it? Buffing wheels- car wax --Johnsom wax I need a direction to go that works good.
Thanks

I wet sanded from around 200 grit down to 1500 or so and then worked through series of buffing compounds with air buffer from gritty to fine and then with the buffer waxed the stock. If you keep the stock waxed it will stay looking good for a long time.

Carp

Jim I did the same thing as Carp.
I got tired of it and bought the teflon tape, the brown kind and man what a difference.
No I dont have to worry about remembering to wax or spray..
