Stock Question....

First I want to say hello. I have came here a couple time for some info but now I have a question that needs answered.

I am about to begin building a .260 remington using a Savage action. I want to be able to do the work myself, thats why I chose the Savage.

My only problem I am faced with is the stock. I will be using my 111 .30-06 long action that is set up to use the new center feed DBM. The 2 stocks I was looking at (Choate Tactical & B&C Medalist A2) do not offer anything for that particular setup in a long action. So I did some looking and came across Stockade Gun Stock and noticed the Praire Dog Special/Tactical. I really like the look of this stock and I am wanting to know if they can actually make this stock to fit my action with the new style magazine setup.

Any help with this would be great as I want to start building soon.

i dont know about stockade, you might want to call them. sharp shooter supply will make any of their stocks for either the new or old action.

I called Kevin at Stockade Stocks today. He is a super cool guy. I told him what kind of rifle I had, explained my situation, and I asked him if he could make me a stock. He asked me, "Does a frog have a water tight asshole?" I said of course it does.

I can't wait to get one. They actually fit the box part of the magazine into the stock. No retaining clip is used to convert from a DBM to an internal magazine. So it looks I will be going with my .30-06 long action as my base for the build.
