Would something similar to below be outside the spirit of the rules ? I want to do a BR stock for one or both of my rifles but I don't want to spend $300 for a blank and then massage it for a bunch of hours. I think what I would do for an airgun would be a 3" forend adaptor that would clamp to the air cylinder and then use a buttstock similar to the one on the rifle in the pic.

Why? You are shooting with a few guys with regular sporter stocks. Clamping anything to the CRX will rub the finish right off.

Why not try cutting some chips on a piece of laminate? A laminate blank from Boyd's isnt all that expensive. You got the tools to make something pretty nice.

But if you want to bring an aluminum stock to a match it wont hurt my feelings a bit.
 
Looks almost like a "bag of Pipes" LOL :D But I'm sure you can make it shoot . Won't bother me if it doesn't bother you. kirby
