I haven't posted in some time but I do try to read. I wanted to say thanks and at the same time ask a question.
When I first started here I had high hopes of getting a custom made rifle right now. Well you can guess what I learned. The long of it
is I got a little smarter , did a lot of searching and bought a used rifle for starters, Got to start some were.
The question is about a Hall action. I know I can put in an email to the company but I was hoping some one here could give a close age
tonight. Serial 790ish, Any one know the year or close?

Thanks, Tom

Id say thats a newer one and by newer id say like 2001-2002. He hasnt made any to speak of since then and if you called him i doubt he would know. He is into rimfires now and doing well

Thanks. If they are not being made for a dozen years or so, maybe this is a start of a classic.

vintage- like a stolle teddy and polar. I even have DGA #2 which makes a polar look like a panda. part of my vintage collection.

The rifle I picked up will be a very good learning tool. When I first got this bug I had no idea on the waiting game. Heck, this rifle might even be the one I needed.
I have a few more questions coming and they will be from a rookie for sure.

nothing wrong with a hall action. youre not limiting yourself there. the only difference in then and now is most halls didnt have ejectors and that slowed them down a bit

Dusty, I'm liking the tidbits, The slow down on the ejector won't matter to much here. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in town with a bench rest , let alone a 6br.
This could mean 1st place at every meet when I shoot a- Shooting Club Of One. Shoot I can start my own South East Alaska rule set. Let's start with -Come
Rain or shine or Come Rain or Rain
