Don't tell me that...!!!:D:D:D

It's what I hear but at about 10K through mine and the core seat and point dies are just getting "slicked up"... Started out at .24335 at the pressure ring and they still are... On the button.

Makes a Great bullet..! Real honest! :)

I sure like my Blackmon .30 cal. bullet dies. :)

Larry mentions die life in an excellent article that James Mock did on he and his dies in Precision Shooting. -Al

Thanks for all the great info.
Help me out with this if you know.
What size are the dies? Are the body's the same diameter as the Niemi and Detsch carbide dies?
What about the press? Any advantage of the modified RCBS over the dedicated swaging press?

All,
I just received my dies form Larry and I will start learning how to use them. My friend has a set and has been helping me get started, he has been making bullets about 5 years. I will be sitting up tomorrow to seat the cores into the jackets. It took about 8 months to get my dies. I am making 112 gr., .925" J4 jackets, and 1.181" reading with a Sinclair bullet comparator, 7 ogive and
.3084 pressure ring. This type of bullet shoots good in my gun.

Hecksf,
I am using a RCBS Rockchucker (RCII), Larry has the conversion kit for the press. You tell him the press you will be using and he will send you the ram and the drill fixture to convert your press. When I ordered my dies I send him a jacket and a completed bullet to let him know the type of bullet I wanted to make. I ask that he make me two core setting punches one for 112 and one for 118. Everything going good so far, I just completed cleaning the cores and will start the core to jacket swaging this weekend.
