Special thanks to Dave Tunbridge and his family for running a great shoot in the snow and mud. We're due for some nice weather Dave so let's keep our fingers crossed for August!

By the way, according to my thermometer, the temp ranged from 32 to 45 degrees while the shooting was taking place (it did, of course, warm up and the sun came out after we were all done) and those who are curious how XBR "aggs" in the cold will be interested to know that the top two 2-gun winners were using it and ran the same load all weekend long. And even more interesting, all three guns used to take the top two spots were using the exact same load. If we go back and look at the Cactus stats, we see Joe was using XBR there too and finished in the top 20. So from 80 degrees to 32 degrees, it seems to work fine and can be tuned in either warm or cold.:)

Now why did you have to go and say something like that?
Don't we have enough fights and hard feeling around here?
Haven't you ever heard of having a secret weapon?
You know, You don't always have to tell everyone everything you know.....

Way to go Jim and Joe

Congratulations you'all are kickin butt with the XBR, hope to see you soon.

Sorry Dave! You're right, this stuff stinks. Don't buy it. If you're looking to dispose of any, send it to Dave or myself for proper disposal and mark the package "garbage".;)

Btw, we sure missed you and Sue. Hope you can make the August match. Maybe by then we'll have some nice weather.:)

We tried!

Sorry we couldn't make it. I spent several days over a course of 2 weeks getting things tuned and ready. I watched the weather reports every few hours hoping to see a change in the forcast but it wasn't to be. I got too much steel in me anymore to get that cold.
Bulloch, Sue and myself shot a unlimited agg 2 days before the match and I have little doubt we would of been competitive. I was bringing a 30 BR!! Let's try for warmer weather. We're looking at Grand Junction.

Thanks to the good folks of Central Utah

I just got back from Springville, Ut and wanted to thank Dave, Paul and the rest of the wonderful folks up there for the great shoot this past week-end. The weather was a bit trying and chilly, but hot coffee and hot chocolate were provided and kept everyone thawed out. It was a great time.

BTW for those who were shooting up there and wondered what happened to my last group in the 200 yard unlimited. At the time the only thing I could think of that might have caused the “train wreck” was that I had picked up the wrong bottle of powder. Upon further examination, when I got home, the load seems to have been correct. The primers all looked the same and showed no signs of high pressure. I had a few rounds left and they were loaded with the correct charge of the correct powder. The brass all measure between 1.495 and 1.500. I loaded 15 rounds up last night and a few fowlers. 5 rounds with the load I had been shooting up there, 5 rounds with a different powder that has always shot very well, and 5 rounds with the load I thought I had mistakenly loaded for the last group up there. Shot them last night. Really good conditions and all three loads shot nice round 4 inch groups……So, I have had a come-a-part someplace else. Just wanted you all to know I haven’t lost all my marbles................ yet…………..

Again thanks for a great week-end ……………..Dana Andrus

Sorry to hear about that Dana. Maybe the scope went south during that cold weather like Olas' bag gun?
