Has anyone been using a 1903 22 cal in competition? I know they are crazy expensive to buy but I hunt with a 1903 in 3006 and have the 22 I have tried it from a sled and it can put 5 in the same hole (or 4 are dead misses) it shoots better than I can. It is heavier than the 3006; less was removed when they bored the barrel, and the bolt is a little heavier guessing the mods for rim fire. the military stock would have to be changed but that would protect it from use so not a bad thing. any ideas?

look at gunbroker great condition used 5000 used good 1500 as new would have to go to a collectors auction maybe 8-10,000
they are great guns the w2 anyway with the adjustable headspace but I think to heavy without a stock change and too small forgrip
