Spalted Maple RFBR Rifle Stocks

I put up a thread on this site that mis identified a rifle stock as being spalted maple and was quickly and correctly corrected.

This time I think I have it right.

The pics below are of a spalted maple stock. This stock was impregnated with gel coat to stabilize the wood.

The stock was built by Jim Peightal. Jim has a reputation for building very beautiful and fancy wood RFBR stocks. He out did himself with this one.
