Southwest Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Range Address

I need some help with the "physical address" to the SW La Rifle and Pistol Range.

I think its located at old Camp Road and 27 in SE Lake Charles La. I am tring to get directions to a buddy...

The address I just looked at in the April 2009 issue of the NBRSA News shows a Gulf Coast Region club as:

Louisiana Rifle and Pistol Club
1600 Cappy Drive
Lake Charles, LA 70605

I performed a Google map search and found out the range is at route 27 & Old Camp Road southeast of downtown Lake Charles. You can actually see the rage from the satellite photo. 1600 Cappy Rd is Mikes home address I think.

I was looking for the physical address so I could pass it along to some of my shooting buddies so they Google up a map and go directly to the range. Giving my freinds a intersection location is alittle vague.

I looked in the NBRSA news to see if the Austin Rifle Club and the Tomball Gun Club had their range addresses listed. They did not. Most of the addresses are the match directors.

I don't think the range has a legitimate address. Leave Lake Charles on LA Hwy 14 to Holmwod, a one-store intersection with LA Hwy 27. Hwy 14 turns East at Holmwood, but you would continue South on LA Hwy 27 for about one half mile. Old Camp Road is on the right and a Club Sign is there at the intersection. As soon as you turn right on Old Camp, take a small one lane trail to your right and it goes into the range.

I hope this helps. Just because I can find it in the dark doesn't mean I can tell you how to find it in the daylight.

Well, this explains why I could not get a map from Google. There is no address for the range.

You may want to pass along to your buddy that we are a private club and the gates to the range stay locked except during matches. If he's going to a match and arrives early enough before one of the members gets there to open up the place, just wait at the gate. Someone will be there well before the match.

directions to range.

Coming from Houston on I-10 go east past Lake Charles about 5 miles then take the Creole/ Camreon (HWY 397) exit south. Stay on 397 & go about 8
miles south. You will come to a cross road with a convenience store on the left. Go straight past it for about 200 yds & you will see the clubs sign on the right side of the road. Turn there on the gravel road & bare to the right. you are there.
