Source for Win 52D front action screw

I am looking for a ¼”x32 TPI screw. Specifically, this is the front action screw on a Win 52D but as long as it is the right size, I can probably make it work. Length is 1” minimum.

I have scoured the net for sources but have been unable to locate one with this fine pitch.

Anybody know where I can locate one?

Thanks
Earl

I have a 1/4-32 die. Wouldn't be that hard to make one.

I have one that is 1 5/8" long.. It came from my 52C when I had it restocked..
If you will send me your address, I will send it to you..

I bought both my action screws from Numrich. They are listed as out of stock for the 52's but I got mine for a model 69 and a model 37. I had to trim the length on one but didn't need to add any threads.

Another option is to contact Gene Davis. I have bought odds and ends for 52-d's from him.

This is listed for the 69A: Take Down Screw 254950A. Nothing listed for the 69. Is this the correct item?

Couldn't tell what part to choose on the 37, the schematic is very difficult to read.

Thanks
Earl

I see the screws are no longer available for the 69. Your best bet is to give Gene Davis a call. Very nice fellow.

Email me if you cannot find his email or phone number. He answers email very quickly.

I know what you are going through. I bought a barreled action w/bolt & trigger from CMP several years ago. The rifle turned out to be brand new in the cosmoline soaked wrapper.
My biggest hangup was a triggerguard. Finally had one made by a gunsmith on this board. Fred J donated the stock for free. I am very grateful. She's a beauty now and I wish Fred could see what that stock looks like now.

Try Out Back Gun Parts. Wendell can probably fix you up with the original screw. Phone 812 945 0480

52D front action screw

I have to agree with Chuck Downing. When I was searching all over for parts for a barreled action that I had gotten from the CMP, someone on this forum steered me to Outback Gun Parts Inc. I talked to Wendll and he fixed me right up with the majority of parts I needed.....Slim
