Something for camping shooters to think about

At the recent IBS Nationals camping shooters were handed a letter stating that if we want a reserved camping spot like we now have there would be a one time cost of $500.00. I hope none of the other ranges don't come up with that. If they do I'll go back to IDPA shooting!
 
In trapshooting the ranges have done this for years. I have leases at several ranges most are $500 for 5 years some more some less. But we have the same spot for all of the matches and no daily fees. It actually works out well. Then if I do not make a shoot I can rent my lease for that shoot to recoup some money.

A number of campers have "bought the right" to a spot including myself. This is common and I have spots at a few ranges. If I call and tell them I am coming I know I have a spot for the motohome. If I don't call then the spot is open for anyone else. I still have to pay the normal camping fee when there.
There is no pressure on anyone to buy the right to the spot. If you think about it a bit, it costs the range a bunch of money to set up power and water for motorhomes. Why should they not try to get some money back?
If you look at the continuous improvements that they have done at Faichance you would agree that it cost a ton of money! New cover for the shooting area, expanded cover for the loafing area, full camera system, new electric, expanded water system, heck this year they even added a dump station for the rvs! They have plans for more improvements for next year again!
If there was a poll for most improved range in the last few years I believe they would win hands down!

I just checked the competitor list and I don't see your name one it. Therefore I don't know why you are complaining about something that does not concern you. We put NO pressure on anyone. This just assures them a spot no matter when they arrive for a match. Also why people stick their nose in to cause trouble I don't know, maybe they are just cronic complainers or thouble makers. Why don't you sign your real name? Also Mr wildcatter should sign his name too cause he is the same as you. We strive hard to put on a good match and everyone is welcome here at Fairchance. If there is a problem we do our best to fix it as long as we are informed. However some won't talk to us they must go on the web to blast us instead of trying to work things out. Complain is all people like you do. If you have a problem Please call me at 724-323-5044 so it can be worked out. Wrong bill, I was there. I even remember climbing around a big table some shooter, inconsiderate of others, sit in the main walkway. Somebody should had that monster moved instead of setting rail guns on it all week.
 
Gentlemen!

Try to be nice....it's hard sometimes, and it is right now for me, but it's always the best way to go.

I suppose it was a good day for me as well.....
