I'll bite. I am shooting a BAT SV and a BAT B. Both work great for the Dasher. I shoot mine slow at 2860 therabouts, at least in my LG and I shoot 105 Amaxes. 105 VLDs were around 2950 if I recall right but the Amaxes seem to be more consistent in my guns. My LG is 28" in LV and my HG is a 1.450 at 30". I have both straight 8 twists and a third will be the same in a Eliseo tube gun. LG is a .237" Bartlein HG is a .236" Brux and tube gun is a .237" Krieger. HTH

We are using Max heavy varmint contour barrels 28-30 inches long and 8.5 - 8.7 twist. These are not gain twist barrels they are all ordered up at 8.5 and some are actually 8.7 twist.
Your freebore will determine your overall length and even if your using the 115 class bullets a short action works just fine.
With the 103-108 weight bullets we are getting a bit more than 3000 fps.

I thought this was an open forum! O-well, I guess it's easier to ask questions then to do your own research.

If you go look at the bullet sorrting thread were Jerry Tierney posted about shooting in the wind you'll discover this is anything but an open forum. If you don't believe that ask Bill Calfee.

The term "Open forum" ” can refer to several things, depending on who is speaking and what the context is. All of these meanings, however, imply the open exchange of ideas and information, usually to better the common good. The word “forum” comes directly from the Latin. In Roman times, the forum was an open marketplace where people could make purchases, have discussions with other citizens, and try to reach agreement on matters of public interest. Some of these meanings have carried through to the modern day.
Based on the above can you describe or explain how this forum differs from an open forum?

If you go read the bullet sorting thread started by Mike in Co. you will see anything but an open exchange of ideas. You will see a public linching at best.
