SoCal Regional Sept. 7th-8th

Well it's that time of year again where Open Grove will be hosting the SoCal Regional. This will be a 2 day event with 4 classes for individual competitors to compete in. The classes will consist of LV, HV, Open and Unlimited. LV and HV will be shot according to the WRABF rules. Open and Unlimited will be under United States Air Rifle Benchrest rules: http://www.usairriflebenchrest.com/2011-2012-united-states-air-rifle-benchrest-scoreline-rules/

There will be open practice Friday the 6th of Sept. from 9am till 3pm. There will be a pre-check in during Fridays practice for those attending. Again, there will be no entry fee and I'm working on getting sponsors to help out with the prizes.

Saturday morning will be LV class followed by Open class. Sunday morning will be HV class followed by Unlimited class. This is the preliminary plan as of now. Any feed back is welcomed.

I will need to get a headcount and in what rifle classes you will be competing in, the sooner the better, you can call me at 805-444-8521 or email me at jafracing@hotmail.com

We have our 20 competitors, we will still take names for a waiting list.

We will shoot all classes at 25m, this allows everyone to compete in all four classes. For those that want to shoot at 50 yards, there will be a seperate match, I'm leaning towards after the LV and Open classes on Saturday, Linzie B. and Jim H. will be put in charge to run this match, all suggestions are welcomed.

There will be a barbecue both days, plaques will be given to top agg. in each class only. Cash awards for 1st-5th will be given out, also cash drawings. High targets in each class will receive $10.00 and a medal. A separate plaque will be given to the top agg. shot at 50 yrds along with cash for 1st-3rd. Target used for 50 yards will be the official WRARB 50 meter target.

There will be over $3000.00 in awards given away for this weekend. The setup will be the same as last year, a holding area for all equipment. Friday is open practice from 9am till 3pm also pre-check-in for the rifles. For those that can't make it for open practice, the rangemaster will allow allotted time for each class to get sighted in before the commence fire for record score. The quicker the relays get setup the more time you will be given.

Start time for both days will be commence fire at 8:30am, please be ready.

For those that will be sharing a bench, please let me know ASAP.

Last year was a huge success, lets all plan, in working together to keep it that way.

Regards,
Joe
