Snow Blowing

I know this is not much snow for many people in the US and Canada but often we go a year here and never have snow.

We have had a couple of dumps now. It looks like this will be out first white Christmas in about 10 years.

I bought this snow blower 2 years ago at a garage sale in July for $50. Everyone laughed and said what will you ever do with that...

Today from 7 am to 2 pm all I did was run this thing... many happy neighbors...

AMAZING!! I've got more snow than that in my yard!

'Course I'm at 1080ft.

It's absolutely brutal down here right now. Reminds me of the Olden Daze in Minn'Desota...... except that "cold" here has been in the high teens (F)

My Sub's all chained up and I'm flat out envying you your blower! I shopped them yesterday for my tractor......AIN'T gonna' happen!

But I'd give you 2 hunnerd for your unit today, quadruple your money in American Dollars :D

Well we've only got a couple of feet on the flats, so I feel your pain. Today it has warmed up to +4 degrees F. This is the first day of winter after all. Darn this global warming that Al Gore invented.

A little tip to Dennis. Get all the snow off your car before you remove the snow. It cuts down on the snow drift when you get in and out of the car.

The thing that always frustrated me when we lived in Anchorage was the contract street blower guys. My sons worked a couple hours shoveling the driveway only to wake up the next morning with the driveway blocked with a big berm by the big snowblower doing the streets.

Maybe you'd like to come to Oswego, NY where lake effect dumps lots of snow- open my attached picture. This is the way we do it here.

we get a snow every 100 years....the 2-3" are gone by noon.

Still cool. Pipes busted / spewing water on main streets, mini snowman and viscious mini ping pong snowball bombardments at your drive dow the neigborhood. It was Christmas eve too!!

still neat, but I like heat better as I can always cool off....glad I got to see one a few years back in 04. Lower laguna madre lost lots of fish.....the ranch looked foreign.

Will be lucky to se another here at home in my lifetime.

Yo Joe,

TALK to me about that front mounted blower man! I've got a John Deere 110 TLB with spools out the front (11GPM only though) Is that a separate gas unit or hydraulic?? Looks like Da Schnizzle........

I was just shopping these yesterday, kinda' got a feel but didn't see that one.

It is a pain to deal with that big mound of packed snow but there isn't any way for the plow operators to avoid it.

Now... if you have big snowblowers in your town, I have no idea. I have worked for my city though in the street department and can speak for the snowplow operators.

.........and I was depressed yesterday when the Temp plummeted to 65°F

The Front mounted blower is great, work's just like a three point on the back, but just like having the bucket on. Real easy to put on and take off. The tractor is a 3720 John Deer 44 hp. It will put the snow were ever you want it.No getting of the tractor to change the shute, all works of the lever!

From the looks of it, they aren't laughing now:D

Did you charge em' for cleaning their driveway?;)

And the Mrs has been complaining about the "cold" 55* weather.
(the only good thing about So- Cal)

Think we might turn in the furnace this week.

I'm getting beer, prawns, cookies, money and gas... and it's kind of fun... and if you have to clear snow it sure beats a shovel.

I need to teach my dog to shovel.

You do know Al, if you could train him to do that he would indeed be "Man's Best Friend".

You just have to wonder if he was thinking while he watched you, "I like to watch".

Man that is the slick set up. I have 6 ft blower for my 45 horse Massey, but it's a 3 pt. deal and a PITA. We had a 32 inch record snow fall a few years back and it went right through it, throwing snow 60 feet with a little juice to the PTO.
