Sinclair Power Center

Does anyone have experience using a Sinclair Power Center for neck turning with Sinclair or K&M neck turning tools? If yes, how does it compare to using a cordless screwdriver or drill?

Its much easier to use than a drill. It stays in one place instead of wrestling to hold 2 tools. A drill will wear you out. The power center is easy to use, and it spins at a slower rpm. With a drill, it spun fast enough to heat up the brass and change the thickness of the cut. I like it.:D

I may get B**** slapped for even asking this but that never stopped me before:). Why could a person not just use a drill press at the slowest setting to do the same operation? The Sinclair runs at 200 RPMs and some of the floor mounted drill presses are 220 RPMs. The little Sinclair sells for more than double the inexpensive drill press and as far as I can see, will only do this one operation.

Y'all straighten me out. :) What am I missing?

I was thinking same thing Rick , not the slapped part, the drill press part.

However I would and did find a used Bodine geared down motor and attach it to a board , it runs at less than 200rpm and does the job very nicely. I guess I am too cheap but the Sincliar power center seems like a very expensive way to go to me.
