Sightron 24X

I'm looking for a decent 24X scope for my Anschutz 54 and like the specs on the Sightron 24X. This will be used for local informal benchrest shooting. Your thoughts on the Sightron are appreciated. :)
 
rick, I have 2 of the sightron's that are excellent. both have been bumped with 3x optical boosters. I have ben using them for a couple years with no problems. they work fine but would be better if I had gotten 36x's
 
I have a 6-24 variable with the dot reticle on my 541 Remington. Excellent scope.
 
i chose the weaver v6x24 varmint..specs say fine xhair and dot, won't be here till thursday, i'm gonna be unhappy if the xhair and dot are not suitable
 
got the scope but i'm either blind or they forgot to put the dot in it, darn mail order without seeing it first:mad:
 
set up the scope late yesterday in low light....now in the glorious light of day i DO see a dot..at least i think i see one damn small mark harder to see than a period on this page:eek:
 
I have a 36 SII with the fine x hair and dot, I really like it. I have no problem seeing the dot but yes it is going to vanish it the light fails along with the xhairs.
 
Don't even think about taking it to the woods hunting, unless your eyes are a lot better than mine. My Weaver 6x24's and 4x16 are good scopes. Got then on postion/offhand rifles. At 16x or 24x offhand, it makes for a bigger bull to shoot at.:)

Gambler, it sounds like you have the Varmint Dot reticle. I have a V-24 on one of my CZ's, and it is a fine duplex with a VERY small dot.
