sierra 240 w/10.5 twist?

has anybody tried this combo ? i have tried them with 1-11 twist and it didnt work.any help is apreciated. thanks tim in tx
 
1-10 worked in both barrels, a Krieger and a Hart. For what ever the reason the Krieger likes 4831SC the Hart, R22. Velocities 2750 & 2780 respectively.

I use a Krieger 1-10 twist myself for the Hulk. 240's run 3000 fps and great barrel life and throat. 1-9 twist will work too and I may try one here on a new rifle.

yea i had been using the 1-10 twist on my heavy gun with the 240s for a few years with great results. the problem is my new barrel had arrived today and i expected a copy of the previous configuration but i read on the end that it had a 10.5 twist,no big deal but i have a ton of sorted and trimmed 240s stocked up and for this barrel but now it looks like i might have to go to the 220 or 210 ,or not i dont know for sure. i was curious and worked up a load with the 240s in another rifle[1-11 twist] some were tumbling at 1000yds and some were not[50%],so i am hoping i can still shoot the 240s with a 10.5 twist, i dont want to send it back because i am ready to get the new barrel on the heavy gun and get out and do some testing. thanks for the replies guys.good luck to you both. tim in tx

There are a few guys at Williamsport shooting 10.5" Lawtons with 240SMK.

I havent heard of any problems. They all shoot pretty good.
