It is with great sadness that I write about my friend and gunsmith Sid Goodling. Sid has cancer. He is the sole provider in his family. When he has to start treatment and stop working, money will become an issue as will paying his medical bills. I have set up a Go Fund Me page for Sid and ask that you consider helping out as you can, if you can.

Thoughts and prayers for you Sid. Your not only my gunsmith, but a real good friend. I know you'll beat this thing.
 
CANCER, the big fear. I pray for you Sid. My wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in October 2017. Total bills for just those 3 months exceeded $127,000! Thankfully I have good medical insurance...so far.

I know Sid doesn't come online very often, but if it helps my family and my parents are all praying for him, and hope that he beats this thing. Sid is a great guy as well as one of the best smiths in the business.

Spoke to Sid Friday. The get well process in full gear. He will beat this. r
 
It's a shame to have to go through this but Sid's a big stout fella.. He'd could beat this with one hand tied behind his back..!

I have known Sid from the time he started up in a little part of a grocery store across the street from his house. Over the years He barreled many actions for me and my customers plus repair work. I never did metal work just stock work. never had to go back for any changes everything was top notch. I will miss him terribly.
