Good Exercise

Yeah, F-class is more of a slog than Bench Rest. Having had skin cancer, I slather on the SPF-30 or higher first. I like the spray-on stuff. You've really got to watch that sun and heat exposure. Bring lots of water. At our range (Ethan Allen National Guard Firing Range in West Bolton, VT) you have to work the target butts. Lifting those frames really works the shoulders. In the morning, on the 300 yard range 3-1, you end up staring into the sun sometimes watching for a hit. The 600 yard range 4-1 is better in that respect, but the targets are so big that medium sized folks like me end up jumping up on the bench seat to reach hits near the top of the target. Then there's the race to schlep your equipment around between firing points because time is limited.

Mind you, I'm not complaining. It's a great place to shoot and a lot of fun. We're lucky to have it, but anyone over 50 that thinks it will be easy better be in pretty good shape.

I know what you are saying!

Last Saturday, Richard Milton and I built the frame for two new concrete benches. I thought that I would have to call 9-1-1 in order to get up for church Sunday. I have muscles that are sore that I did not even use! James

F-Class

Wilbur , I thought we always shot "F Class". As I remember saying frequently,,, F gun, F scope, F sizer, F seater, F powder measure, F wind, F last bullet went out. Must not be the same as this thread. See ya @ Lakeveiw, HFV
Can't move this morning. I really enjoyed the match but can't move nonetheless.
